Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms
By using TaxZero you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Educational tool — not tax, legal, or financial advice
TaxZero produces planning estimates for educational purposes. Calculations use published federal parameters and modelled state rules, but they do not account for every credit, phase-out, alternative minimum tax issue, local tax, or state-specific exception.
Nothing in the app creates a CPA, attorney, or financial-advisor relationship. Always confirm any strategy with a licensed professional before acting on it.
Accuracy of estimates
We work to keep the formulas current, but tax law changes frequently. We make no warranty that any estimate, projection, or suggested saving is accurate or achievable, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on the app's output.
Your data
Signed-in inputs and documents are stored in your private hosted account, with limited temporary browser storage, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for confirming extracted figures and for anyone you share plan links with.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app: no attempting to disrupt the service, no scraping at abusive volumes, and no misrepresenting the output as professional advice to third parties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxZero and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including taxes, penalties, or interest — arising from use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
